Seven-year-old Noah was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
He also has coeliacs disease. To manage Noah’s insulin levels is an uphill battle. The emotional strain makes it very difficult. The specialist recommended insulin pump therapy as a solution that will help Noah with his daily lifestyle. Noah’s father, Danie, pastors a church in Marondera and him and his wife Babette really want to stay in Zimbabwe to help bring change.
WE WOULD LIKE TO RAISE MONEY FOR:
The insulin pump, the pump transmitter and CGM transmitter. The endocrinologist recommends the Medtronic 780G pump. Insulin pumps are small, computerized devices that mimic the way the human pancreas works by delivering small doses of short acting insulin continuously. This family’s medical expenses are already very high and difficult to meet. This pump comes at a huge cost but will greatly improve Noah’s life and provide him with more freedom which a boy his age deserves. They further need to pay for the monthly insulin and consumables of 557 USD per month.
Seven-year-old Joshua has Leg-Calve-perthes disease
This means there is no blood flow to the hip bone which caused the hip bone to disintegrate and causes him to limp. This disease is very rare and only 1 in 10,000 boys get diagnosed with it. He is on crutches at the moment & prohibited to do any sports for the time being. He is seeing an orthopedic doctor which will decide depending on the severity & stage if an operation is necessary. Doctors visits, scans & physiotherapy is priority if no operation is needed. Joshua’s father, Andrew, pastors a church in Hopetown and him and his wife Jaclyn has to stay in Hopetown, but would need to travel a lot to get Joshua proper medical treatment.
WE WOULD LIKE TO RAISE MONEY FOR:
His doctors and physio fees, transport to the city for doctors appointments and accommodation in the city.
